Another graduation at my CBG@GTU. Miray Çakıoroğlu has successfully presented her thesis titled "Computational Evolution of Molecularly Imprinted Monomers That Selectively Bind Alzheimer's Disease ApoE4 Protein" and received he M.Sc. degree. Congrats Miray, we wish you a successful career.

CBG@GTU research group met with undergraduate students, members of IAPS (International Association of Physics Students) student organization. We held Molecular Dynamics Workshop for 4 hours, which comprised of theoretical presentation and hands-on experience. We are happy to meet with undergraduate students and to help them gain experience in various fields of science!

Graduate Visit-20 June 2022
Hasan Çubuk, one of our group graduates, visited our lab and talked about his doctoral studies on deep mutational scanning, machine learning based mutation analysis. He gave an inspiring lecture and shared his experiences. Hasan is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, Institute of Genetics and Cancer.

Asst. Prof. Mehmet Özbil met online with Chemistry major students from Istanbul Technical University. Mehmet Ozbil was also a graduate of the same department (2007). The meeting was organized by ITU Kimya Kulubu, student organization, and drew an attendance around 60 people. We discussed future options for students and the path ahead of their prospective careers.
